Our charity partner, The Salvesen Mindroom Centre, are delighted to be launching a series of free creative workshops for care experienced* neurodivergent young people aged 14-18 this summer. This exciting programme is aimed at those who are starting to think about the transition into adult life and would benefit from an informal activity, using the creative arts, to meet with a small group of other young people at the same stage with shared interests. There are 5 different workshops on offer and numbers at each will be capped at 6 participants. In summary they are: ~ Clay Sculpture with Chris Coatham 16 July, 2.00-4.00pm at Artlink Studios, 231 Corstorphine Road, Edinburgh ~ Circus Skills with Think Circus 18 July, 2.00-4.00pm at Artlink Studios, 231 Corstorphine Road, Edinburgh ~ Comic Art Riso Printing with Blueprint 22-25 July, 2.00-4.30pm at Out of the Blue Drill Hall, Dalmeny St, Edinburgh ~ Special Effects Makeup with Socks Rolland 29 July, 2.00-4.00pm at Artlink Studios, 231 Corstorphine Road, Edinburgh ~ Video with Sculpture & Greenscreen with Frieda Ford 31 July, 2.00-4.00pm at Artlink Studios, 231 Corstorphine Road, Edinburgh Booking is FREE and online via the link here. *care experienced includes those 'on the edges of care', by which we mean any family that is receiving additional support from a statutory or third sector service, so receiving support from Mindroom or another charity, for example, would satisfy this requirement.
